LaVerne "Ruthie" Ruth Zimmerman Obituary (1936 - 2019)

LaVerne Ruth (Ruthie) Zimmerman, age 83, entered Heaven's gates on Monday, October 7, 2019. She was born to the late Henry and Ruth Schnoor on August 24, 1936. She was the 7th of 10 children. Ruthie married Lyle Zimmerman in August of 1954. They were married for 65 years. Together they raised five children; Cynthia, Deborah, Terry, Pamela and Larry. A loving wife and mother, Ruthie's passion in life was family. She is survived by her husband, her 5 children, 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 3 more on the way. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 11, 2019 at the First Pentecostal Assembly of God Church in Ottumwa with Pastor Richard Schlotter officiating. Interment will follow services in Chisman Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. with family present at Sinnott Funeral Home, 201 McKinley Ave, Ottumwa, Iowa 52501.
